Where to start. Mike Brown's still non-existent offense? LeBron not driving to the hole at all the entire game? Donyell Marshall and Damon Jones playing way too many minutes? Nah. Let's start with this: The Dallas Mavericks are a Championship caliber team. The Cavs are not. They got flat-out beat. I see a lot of the same problems this team had last year, starting with Larry Hughes shooting low-percentage shots again. Also, why is it that Z has an amazing first-half, and only gets 3 shots in the entire second half? I just can't seem to grasp anything Mike Brown is trying to do. He's never been an offensive coach, but it's on the verge of pathetic. LeBron was in foul trouble all night long, and the Cavs were double digits down from halfway through the first quarter until the end of the game. Not a good start at all.
But, how about some positives. Umm...Ilgauskas had 17 points and 18 rebounds. Outside of that, I can't find anything else. Gibson still has that sweet stroke from outside, so I guess that's good. Oh well. Hopefully on Friday the Cavaliers look more promising, and can take care of business against the New York Knicks. If not, it looks like it might be a long season.
But hey, just remember...it's only one game.
